Prezi is a presentation tool that allows you to create a presesntation in a non-linear way. It moves beyond a slide show where you create the path you want to follow. It allows you to enter text, images, videos, PDF's and drawings. Watch the tutorial below this description.






Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.



Slideshare is a tool which enables you to upload any Powerpoint presentation you have created to share with others. It also has many presentations already made that you are able to view and download.



Animoto allows you to create stunning video slideshows. Upload your images and music and Animoto does the rest.

ThingLink allows you to upload an image and link from specific aspects of an image to other files e.g. YouTube, documents etc. The finished file can then be embedded into Brightspace or any platform that accepts an embed code.



Voicethread not only allows you to create a presentation including images and video but it also allows others to comment on each section of the presentation if they wish using text, audio or video. A Voicethread can be embedded into any webpage.



Zoho Show allows you to access, import, edit and share presentations from anywhere at anytime. The presentations can be viewed and edited within a browser, and can also be embedded into blogs or websites.



Timetoast is a great way to share the past, or even the future...Creating a timeline takes minutes, it's as simple as can be.



Toondoo is another Web 2.0 application with wonderful potential for teachers and learners. Toondoo offers a convenient platform for creating and sharing cartoons. To get started, you simply choose a single, double, or triple panel. You can import images, but Toondoo offers a wide range of characters, text bubbles, backgrounds, etc. These couldn’t be easier to select and apply

FakeBook is fantastic tool to engage students. Easy to set up and use. It is very similar to Facebook but designed for education. You can add friends, posts, comments and create profile pages.

Big Huge Labs is a quick and easy to use tool that allows you to create your own posters, puzzles, calendars, photo albums, badges etc. You can upload your own photographs and your product is ready to download in seconds. A fantastic, fun tool.





Glogster creates an online, interactive poster including text, images, video and sound. Contains many folders of preloaded materials but it also allows the user to upload their own material. A very visual, easy to use tool. Teachers can comment on student work and provide feeback.  View the tutorial below.





JOG THE WEB is a web-based tool that allows anyone to create a synchronous guide to a series of web sites.  Its step by step approach of taking viewers through web sites allowing the author to annotate and ask guiding questions for each page is unique.



Vcasmo is a multimedia presentation tool for a photo/video slide show. It also allows you to embed the slide show into any webpage.



Museum Box is a presentation tool that allows you to place images, text, videos, and links on each side of a cube. It creates a virtual box that displays your information. Great for Humanities when looking at historical periods and creating presentations on these.  (Tutorial available)
